Terms of service
Last updated: 22 October 2026
QR Code Manager is run by Bouwman.io ("we", "us"), based in the Netherlands. These terms cover your use of qr.bouwman.io and the QR Code Manager product. We kept them short and in plain language, because we would rather you actually read them.
By creating an account or using the service you agree to these terms. If you sign up on behalf of a company, you confirm you are allowed to do that.
What the service is
QR Code Manager lets you design QR codes, save them in a workspace, and route scans of tracked codes through our servers so you can see scan statistics and change the destination later. Short links work the same way without the QR code: a link on our domain (or yours) that forwards to wherever you point it, with click statistics. The free QR designer on the site works without an account and stores nothing.
Your account
You need an account for everything beyond the free designer. Keep your password to yourself, and tell us if you think someone else has it. You are responsible for what happens under your account.
Your workspace gets its own web address based on the name (slug) you pick at signup. Slugs are first come, first served. We can reclaim one if it sits on someone else's trademark or is clearly parked without being used.
Plans and limits
The free plan includes 1 user, up to 10 saved QR codes and 10 short links, and 500 scans and clicks per month, with no payment details needed. Paid plans raise those limits; the current numbers are on the pricing page.
If you hit your monthly limit we email you. By default your codes and links keep working while we ask you to upgrade; on some workspaces scans and clicks over the limit pause until the next month. Visits from bots and link previews don't count.
We can change plans and prices. If a change affects you negatively, we give you at least 30 days notice by email before it applies to you.
Acceptable use
Do not use QR codes or short links made with the service to:
- link to malware, phishing pages, or scams
- mislead people about where a code or link leads
- break the law, or help someone else break it
If we find codes or links doing this we disable them, and depending on how bad it is, the account behind them. If you spot abuse yourself, mail qr@bouwman.io.
Your content
The destinations, text, and logos in your QR codes and short links are yours, and so is the responsibility for them. We do not check destinations up front, and we are not a party to whatever happens on the other side of a scan or click.
Availability
Tracked codes and short links depend on our servers being up to redirect people. We take uptime seriously, but we are a small operation and do not promise a specific uptime percentage. Static codes you download keep working no matter what happens to us, since the content is baked into the image itself.
Privacy
What we collect and why is covered in the privacy policy.
Ending your account
You can stop at any time. A tenant-admin can export everything and delete the workspace from Admin, Settings. Deleting locks the workspace immediately for everyone and stops its tracked codes from redirecting; after 60 days it is permanently erased. Until then we can restore it or hand you the export on request. Invoices are kept for seven years, as Dutch tax law requires.
We can suspend or close accounts that break these terms. For anything short of clear abuse, we contact you first.
Liability
The service is provided as is. To the extent Dutch law allows, we are not liable for indirect damage such as lost profit or lost data, and our total liability is capped at what you paid us in the three months before the claim. Nothing here limits liability that cannot legally be limited, such as damage caused by intent or gross negligence.
Governing law
Dutch law applies to these terms. Disputes go to the competent court in the Netherlands.
Changes to these terms
We update the date at the top of this page when something changes. For meaningful changes we email account holders before they take effect.
